Religious Education
'Religious education has been transformed because it has been placed at the heart of the curriculum. Leadership is passionate and effective.'
SIAMS 2020
As a church school, Religious Education is taught with a two-thirds to one-thirds split, with Christianity being the most taught religion and other religions making up the rest of the R.E. curriculum. We use the Diocese of Ely 2024 curriculum which uses a Religion and Worldviews approach.
Every class has a Reflection Corner in which children can spend time to think, write questions or leave comments on a particular theme or question.
Collective worship takes place daily, and we have a church leader's assembly once-a-week as well as a group from GenR8 delivering assemblies based on bible stories every half-term.
